The Shelbourne Hotel
The Project
The Shelbourne Hotel engaged us to capture a suite of premium aerial content for both digital and broadcast use. The brief included high-resolution still photography for their website and social channels, as well as 4K aerial footage to feature in a television series promoting the hotel. Filming in the heart of Dublin city centre required a careful approach, balancing creativity with strict aviation regulations.
Our SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) authorisation enabled us to operate safely and legally in this challenging urban environment, ensuring we could deliver without compromise.
Project Overview
- Client: The Shelbourne Hotel
- Location: St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin
- Purpose: High-resolution aerial stills and 4K video, to be used in a TV Series.
The Results
The final content showcased the Shelbourne from fresh and dynamic perspectives, highlighting its landmark status and prime location in the heart of Dublin. The stills elevated the hotel’s online presence, providing striking visuals for digital marketing and social campaigns, while the cinematic 4K footage gave the TV production a unique sense of scale and grandeur.
By successfully navigating the complexities of a busy city-centre airspace, we demonstrated our ability to handle high-profile commercial projects that require both creativity and advanced regulatory permissions. The project underlined our reputation as one of Ireland’s most trusted aerial operators — combining technical capability, compliance, and artistry to produce visuals that matched the Shelbourne’s iconic status.
